first things first

Drew Barrymore in that silly, corny, and typically amandaesque movie about Cinderella called Ever After, said she could no sooner choose a favorite book than choose a favorite star among the heavens. My overwhelming urge to write about many different books right now must be curtailed.

There is but one book that I believe has the most impact on the one who reads it. That book would be The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho. The story follows the journey of a young boy on the search for his treasure. It is a journey of hope, humanity, and the spirit that is found within everyone's heart. The book does so well inspiring its reader by channeling life's smallest truths and mysteries only to weave them into an intricate tapestry of exemplary storytelling.
